50 Cent signed a movie production deal with entrepreneur Richard Jackson recently, where he’ll production anyway from three to five movies a year.According to, his first project under the new deal will be a movie called “The Gun,” which stars Val Kilmer and 50 Cent, and will be directed by Jesse Terro. It’s expected to begin production next month. In the film, 50 and Kilmer play friends whose loyalties are tested when they get caught up in the world of illegal gun dealing. It will be shot in Grand Rapids, Michigan.Fif’ says he became interested in the film because of his curiosity of how guns are manufactured and shipped, but along the way “falling into the hands of the wrong people,” he said. “It’s a socially conscious theme that people aren’t paying attention to.”“The Gun” is the first of three feature scripts 50 Cent has written. He tells Variety that he’s getting the hang of the writing process.“When you write a song, you need to say it in three minutes or it is overkill, but I like creating stories and going in depth with characters,” he said. After “The Gun,” 50 Cent’s Cheetah Vision will produce the drama “Jekyll and Hyde,” starring with Forest Whitaker in the Abel Ferrara-directed film, which Warner Bros. Will distribute domestically.
